FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Often, beloved pets are put down or suffer needlessly because their owners cannot afford the expensive surgeries or medical treatments. Blessing Animals Pet Pantry acknowledges that owners must often make the difficult decision to put a pet down or neglect medical needs because of the costs involved and is on a mission to help families going through the financial burden .

Blessing Animals Pet Pantry is a registered 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that provides support and financial assistance to families whose pet faces a  diagnosis that requires surgery or veterinary care.

PLEASE NOTE: All applications are viewed on a case by case basis. Please do not expect an immediate response. For emergency, life-threatening situations, please go directly to a Veterinarian and do not wait to contact Blessing Animals Pet Pantry for assistance. Blessing Animals Pet Pantry is not able to provide ongoing medication or care for terminally ill pets.

Blessing Animals Pet Pantry does not reimburse for past treatment/payments already made and will not consider reimbursement situations of any kind. Blessing Animals Pet Pantry is unable to contribute to individual fundraising platforms or personal accounts. All payments are made directly to the treating veterinarian and never to an individual.

We encourage you to ask your veterinarian about setting up a payment plan for the needed medical treatment before submitting an application for assistance from Blessing Animals Pet Pantry.  We also suggest speaking with your Veterinarian about clinical studies, immunotherapies, or trials that may be be available for your pet.  Lastly, we encourage individuals to utilize fundraising platforms such as GoFundMe as many people are able to lean on their social networks, family, and friends for support through these platforms.

Please understand that Blessing Animals Pet Pantry may not fund 100% of the estimate and that the percentage or assistance amount will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Our goal is to help as many pet families through the financial and emotional hardship  as we can. While we are just getting started as an organization, we have a stringent review process and beneficiary decisions are made based on the level of funding available, prognosis of the pet, urgency of the needed treatment, and any financial hardships or circumstances that you have shared with us. Our team (at least 3-4 members) will consider your dog’s current health, history, and prognosis during the screening process.

Several factors can affect a dog’s prognosis. These factors include:

  • Age at onset

  • Breed

  • Gender

  • Weight

  • Medical history

  • Type and severity of symptoms

  • Treatment or treatments used

  • Response to treatment

Blessing Animals Pet Pantry also recognizes and appreciates the life-saving work of Emotional Support Animals, Service Dogs, and Veteran’s companions.
